The Yentz Family
Get to know us
The farm is owned by Eric and Vanessa Yentz. The property was purchased in 2021 and has been transitioning into a working farm ever since. They both grew up in Massachusetts but in two different worlds so to speak. Eric grew up in the small city of Fall River and Vanessa grew up in the same city but shared her time with her grandparents on a small dairy and vegetable farm in Somerset. This time planted the seed and grew into her love of animals, farming and the enjoyment of caring for a farm.
Eric and Vanessa both love being outdoors, sharing time with family, watching the farm grow, and serving the community and others. Their desire to return to a simpler life that provided the opportunity to slow down and enjoy God's blessings drove their decision to purchase the land and carry on Vanessa’s family farming tradition.
Vanessa is the resident farmer and baker; ensuring the care of the produce, livestock and day to day management of the farm, including the creation of our yummy canned and baked goods. When not working on the farm, Vanessa serves her community working as a nurse at our local hospital. Vanessa hales from a long line of servitude, and is also a veteran of the United States Army.
Eric spends his week supporting his community working at a local home improvement store. When not working his off-farm job he helps with caring for the livestock and the projects that Vanessa dreams up for him. Eric is the resident project manager and works to bring Vanessa’s vision to life.
Our Family
Our oldest daughter, Corrinn, can be found helping out with chores on the farm and at Farmer's Market when she is not at work. Corrinn enjoys being outdoors here on the farm, especially snuggling with the animals. She has also blessed us with our first granddaughter, Lillie.
Our youngest daughter, Taylor, can be found helping out with chores on the farm and at Farmer's Market when not at work or in school. She enjoys being outdoors here on the farm, and prefers snuggles with the animals to chores.
Lillie, our granddaughter, can be found on the farm pretty regularly. Her favorite place to be is on the side by side or the "big green tractor." Lillie loves the goats, chickens, our Shetland pony and barn kitties that live here on the farm. She will share with you her displeasure of having to go in the house instead of being outside. She is Grandma's best helper and loves to dig in the dirt with her.

Our Farm
Livestock/Poultry
Our chickens enjoy free-ranging from sunrise to sunset every day and are primarily pasture raised. They are only in their coop at night for their safety and to protect them from predators.
Raising chickens following this process provides us with eggs that are both healthy and delicious!!
Chicken treats consist of fresh fruits, herbs and vegetables.
Our chickens are dewormed naturally using greek yogurt and pumpkin.
They are never fed medications unless absolutely necessary
The "morning stampede" to get out the door is real. It is one of my most enjoyable parts of the day watching all of the "fluffy butts," as we call them, running out in the yard for their all-day long adventures. Enjoy this video of the "morning stampede".

Our Farm
Livestock/Goats
Our goats provide lots of snuggles and entertainment for us and our visitors.
They can be found at most of our events and they love snuggles, pets, and treats!
They spend their days grazing and lounging in the sun here on the farm.
Seasonally we have kids for sale to good homes.

Our Farm
Produce
Each season we start all of our plants here on the farm so we know how each and every plant is grown right from the start.
All of our produce is grown following natural processes to reduce the amount of pesticides and chemicals in the fruits and vegetables that we produce.
The garden is always changing as beds are turned over from one planting season to the next. Our garden was a combinations of Vanessa's dream, and Eric's skills to build it and bring it to life. It has been a few years in the making, but it is finished! For now at least... This video is the garden as of June, 2023.

Our canned items are produced with our own grown produce or sourced from other locals farms whenever possible following USDA canning standards
Our breads and baked goods are all scratch made without the addition of preservatives and we use our farm fresh eggs when a recipe calls for eggs.
